Planting trees is one of the most positive legacies you can leave on your land.
Your trees will attract pollinators and create a home for wildlife. As your trees grow, the air will become cleaner. Water flow and soil quality will improve, which reduces the risk of flooding. You’ll put down roots that will last for generations and play your part in addressing our changing climate.
Funding and free advice
Your local Community Forest has years of experience helping landowners establish woodlands in your area.
A local woodland advisor will visit your site to help you select suitable tree species, and support you with site design, and the wider planning, funding and planting process. Our help is completely free.
We provide grants that cover up to 100% of tree planting, protection and related infrastructure costs including tree guards, fencing and paths.
Maintenance of your trees once they are planted is also important to ensure they thrive. As part of our funding offer we provide up to 15 years of maintenance payments.
